You will find a welcome card in your IPL device box/pack where you can scan the QR code and follow the instructions to download the app. There is a sticker on the packaging for downloading info.

The app is primarily designed for smartphones, but it can also be downloaded on tablets. However, please note that the user experience on tablets may vary, and we cannot guarantee optimal visual quality.
The Braun Skin iExpert IPL app connects with the following models: PL7387, PL7357, PL7249, PL7243, PL7263, PL7253, and PL7257. The PL1, PL3, and PL5 models are now supported by the app in a non-connected experience, featuring treatment plans and basic guidance during sessions. This functionality is available with app version 2.0.1, released in March 2025.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you begin the pairing process, please ensure there is a Wi-Fi connection available, and the phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
The app will guide you step by step through the pairing process.
• Start by logging into the app.
• Plug in the IPL device and turn it on. Then click NEXT on the app.
• Now press and hold the two buttons on the IPL for 15 seconds. This will put the IPL in pairing mode. Once you see the white pulsing light illuminated around those two buttons, press NEXT on the app.
• The app will auto detect the device and show ‘IPL Found!’ message. Click PAIR button.

Changing your email address is easy!
• In the app, go to Settings. From there go to Account Information.
• Click email and type in your new email address. Click CONTINUE to confirm the change.

The Braun Skin iExpert IPL connects to the iExpert app via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi technology. Once connected, the app guides you step by step through the hair removal process, including assessing your hair and skin needs, so that you can achieve up to 1 year of smooth skin.

No, the app does not change any settings for the device. However, you can view the settings information from the app. Device settings must be adjusted on the IPL device itself.
The app provides you with a percentage for each session. This percent measures how many flashes were used during the session versus how many were possible based on the settings selected and how well the device covered the treatment area. If the percent is less than 100%, it does not mean the session was unsuccessful. It simply means there is opportunity to improve the coverage during your next session.
To achieve a higher percentage in your next session, we recommend moving the IPL device slower across the treatment area than in the previous session.
CAUTION: Do not immediately repeat a session on the same treatment area outside of the recommended schedule. It is important to follow usage instructions per the user manual.
If I miss a session, will the app reschedule the session and the total plan accordingly?
Yes, that is correct. If you want to change modes, you'll do that from the IPL device.
No, it does not.
You should get a reminder of the scheduled sessions from the app. If the reminder did not appear on mobile device, please check mobile/smart phone settings to allow notifications from the app.
Yes, you may want to use IPL-glide mode in both directions to speed up the process if the device is not going over the same area. Use of the glide mode will not impact the IPL coverage and results.
We recommend you make sure the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is turned on before starting a session. The app will show a warning message if there is a connectivity issue. If Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is off, that could have an impact on the correct progress indication.
You can schedule as many sessions as you want per day, if each session is for a different area of the body. We do not recommend treating the same area multiple times per day.
The IPL app will help you set up a plan for each body part you want to treat. With each session you complete, the app will update your progress and adjust the plan as needed to help you achieve smooth skin.

Yes, Braun IPL devices have been built with your safety in mind. The skin contact sensors ensure that the device can only be triggered when in contact with the skin and the light you see that is visible during treatment is perfectly safe. There is no need to wear eye protection when using Braun IPL, but some people prefer to wear sunglasses during their treatments.

If no defect is found, your product will be returned with a note stating it works within manufacturer's specifications. Series 3 is the entry-level shaver we have, and they provide a clean & close shave and can also smooth your skin.
Series 5 has Easy Clean which enables you to rinse the shaver clean without taking it apart. It also introduces AutoSense Technology, which detects your beard and adapts power necessary to cut beard hairs.
Series 6 adds to AutoSense Technology by giving SensoFlex, a 20 degree pivoting head to maintain better contact with skin allowing more efficiency.

All Braun shavers are watertight which means the shaver head can be rinsed under running water for easy cleaning. However, ONLY Braun shavers that are specifically designated as Wet & Dry (W&D) models can be used in the shower or bath.
The Wet & Dry models have an automatic shut-off mechanism to ensure the appliance works only when the cord is not plugged in, meaning there is no risk of electric shock.
• “cc” models indicate that the shaver comes with a Clean & Charge station (also referred to as the SmartCare Center). We recommend shavers that include the Clean & Charge station or SmartCare Center. The SmartCare Center hygenically cleans your shaver, charges shaver, optimizes blade performance, and extends the lifetime.
• “s” or solo models indicate the shaver comes with a charger only and does not include the Clean & Charge station.
• “Wet & Dry” is indicated on some models and it means the shaver can be used in the shower or bath.

Step 1: Remove all visible hair in the area you wish to treat with your preferred hair removal method. If desired, the Braun IPL includes a Venus razor for easy surface hair removal. Ensure there is no hair remaining above the surface of the skin. Then pat your skin dry.
Step 2: Select the standard head or the precision head depending on the size of the area you wish to treat. Plug in Braun IPL.
Step 3: Put the nozzle in full contact with the skin to make sure the product works correctly. If the light flashes white, a valid skin tone is detected. If not in proper contact with the skin, the device will not flash. In the case of a red light, there is not full contact or it is an invalid skin tone.
Step 4: For larger body areas use gliding mode: hold down the treatment button and glide along your skin. For smaller areas, press and release the treatment button. For sensitive areas or if it’s your first time, you can use the gentle or extra gentle mode.
Step 5: It is important to wipe clean the nozzle after every use.
Step 6: In the first phase of your treatment, treat once a week for 4 - 12 weeks. Then adjust to your needs (i.e. every 1-2 months).
Braun IPL is not suitable for everyone. It is most effective on light to medium skin tones with hair ranging from natural blonde to dark brown or black.
The device is not effective on very blonde, red, grey, or white hair where the smaller amount of melanin would not absorb the light energy.
