How To Get a Close Shave With an Electric Razor

How to get a close shave

Did you know?

When switching from a rotary shaver or manual razor, it might take up to a month for your skin to adjust to the new method of shaving. It’s like your hairline: it takes time to switch from a side part to a middle part. So, give it time.

Check out Braun's step by step guide on how to get a perfect smooth close shave. Avoid cuts and redness.

Step 1
Make sure your shaver is charged and ready to go.

Step 2
Try to shave before you wash your face, since the skin tends to be slightly swollen after washing.

Step 3
After a few days without shaving, for example post weekend, you should trim your stubble beard before you shave.

Step 4
Now, turn the Braun shaver on. Stretch the skin with your free hand before you shave extra sensitive areas or ones that need a closer shave. This ensures a smooth glide across the skin.

Step 5
Hold the shaver at a right angle (90°) to your skin and shave against the direction of beard growth. Also keep in mind that avoiding going over the same areas over and over again helps in preventing a shaving rash.

Step 6
Keep the pressure even to achieve the best possible clean shave. No need to push as hard as you do with a manual razor.

Step 7
Clean your shaver regularly. Depending on the model, you may be able to use the Braun cleaning center that automatically cleans and lubricates the shaver at the push of a button.

Finally,

we recommend you replace the cutting parts every 18 months as they are wear parts. Don’t use too much pressure and stick with it!
