The Braun MGK3060 Multi Grooming Kit is pretty great overall (especially for travel) and would make a nice gift for someone in need of a one-for-all "manscaping" tool. The trimmer cuts pretty well and comes with 4 guard combs for different lengths. It's not as powerful as my corded trimmers, but it largely gets the job done. The detail trimmer is nice and does a good job around the sideburn/beard and neckline areas, but it's probably the least-used piece here. The nose and ear trimmer isn't awful (better than nothing), but it seems to get pretty easily snagged on those thicker, scraggly hairs that seem to pop out in unexpected places when you get older, especially when the battery is less than fully-charged. It's not a deal-breaker, but I want to cut the hairs, not tweeze them off, so I'm not crazy about the pulling sensation when that happens. I like the fact that this set includes a free Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor, since there are some areas that I just prefer to use a manual razor for the detail work. It's a nice bonus and almost an admission that, sometimes, you just need a razor in some places.I do like the set, but for home use, I'll likely stick to my corded razors. This would be great for travel or for someone who just wants one trimmer that will take care of most every task. The battery life isn't bad, but I would charge it more often than after 60 minutes of use. Like just about every rechargeable trimmer (or tool, period), the motors start to slow a bit when the charge goes below a certain point, and when that happens, hairs start to get snagged and pulled. The closer to fully-charged this is, the better it's going to cut. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great electric groomer. I haven't been using these lately because I was disappointed with the last few I had bought. This one had me impressed right out of the box. It has great weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. Easy to hold in any position to get the job done. I don't believe you could need to groom in a way that wasn't covered with all the attachments that come with this. And once your done clean up is a breeze, as long as it isn't plugged in to charge you can rinse any part of it with water and not have to worry about it not working afterwards. Batter life is great also, I charged it out of the box and have used it 3 or 4 times. I highly recommend you try this razor, I know I've found my new go to brand. When I first held this trimmer, I really wanted to like it. It felt nice in my hand and and would be a perfect all in one type trimmer. However, my first trim, I realized that this trimmer was not up to the task. I had the smallest guard on and was going to trim my beard. After several passes it left A LOT of long hairs, that no matter which direction or how many passes I made would not remove all the hairs to give an even trim. I then took the guard off and trimmed my entire face no guard. That worked ok, I still had to do several passes to get the trimmer to cut down each hair evenly. For me, the grooming kit is useless if it does not work well with the guards. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received the Braun Multi Grooming Kit MGK3060 and had high hopes for it. I have a full beard and thought this would be a neat addition to my grooming tools. My first thoughts were positive with a nice and detailed packaging that shows all the capabilities of the device on the back.It comes with 2 beard combs, 2 hair combs, precision trimmer and ear/nose trimmer. In addition, it has a cleaning brush and one Gillette proglide razor. The first thing I tried was the beard trimmer. I have tried using it several times, but the attachment just passes through my beard hair and does not trim/cut anything. This is sometimes common with new trimmers so I gave it another try and still no result. I started using the various combs for both beard and hair but none of them was actually able to cut a single hair. I am pretty sure that my beard was MUCH longer than the comb length so it may be just the unit I received or it may just be a lousy design. I only tried the shaver, which surprisingly worked but was the only thing that worked for me in the entire package. The Gillette razor is a good addition, but I don't think it makes my opinion higher of this product, since it is a totally different product from a different company. All in all, the trimmer "looks" nice and the shaved head works fine, but other than that, nothing worked for me. Sorry for the late update, but I really had to torture test this thing. I quit using electric razors like this due to how thick my hair grows, and I have been using professional wired clippers only. This thing works great for quick touch ups, and edging up nice lines. Figured I wouldn't know if it was worth it's weight in gold until I put it to the test. I gre out my full beard as long as I could, then went to town. Surprisingly, this little set didn't snag or pull my hair. The only time it felt sluggish was when it was getting hair stuck between the blades, and the clip. Cleaned it out and it kept cutting with no issues. Now my beard is really thick, but it did it's job perfectly. I'm actually going to keep this thing around and give my clippers a break! I'd honestly recommend these, and it comes with all the tips you need to trim or style your beard. It also came with a multi blade razor that gets a really good shave without the rough stubble. I'm sharing this review on my Facebook and Instagram so others can give this set a try. It is well worth the price, and it has restored my lost faith in rechargeable beard trimmers! I've included pics of how thick I got to grow out my beard before torture testing these clippers, so see for yourself! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Pros: Multiple settings to control hair length Long lasting charge Free Gillette shaverAccessories to trim nose hairs and mustacheCons: Cut isn't close enough when trying to fit under my chin and shape up my edges Multiple stopping to clean hair out from underneath the guardClippers seem to have trouble going through thicker hairOverall: Not a bad clipper to add to an arsenal of clippers, but definitely would not recommend as a stand alone set to take care of all your cutting needs. The kit MGK 3060 is a really good razor beard trimmer set up all of the different head attachments gives you the opportunity to trim just more then a regular razor can different links four different parts of your facial hair is one of the best things my personal experience I had to try it two different times and both times it was good the first time was my mistake I cut my facial hair way too short so I had to let it grow out and try it again but the second time it went much better after I got the dialed in length I want it the MGK 3060 is a really good razor and very user-friendly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
after growing my beard out again and giving it a trim i must say this works hundreds of times better then my old beard trimmer. I like having different timing options then just short and non exsistant. While i'd still love to have a stand/storage area i am quite happy with it. The Braun Multi Grooming Kit MGK3060 is a very good product! I've been using it for several weeks now and have not been disappointed about anything with this groomer. With all the 8 different attachments that come with it you are able to do basically anything you want with it. If you need a good razor that wont disappoint then pick up a braun during your next shopping experience [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Before I begin, I feel it is important to note that I tend to let my beard grow and do as it pleases because I find it too much of a hassle to shave. I rarely shave and have never used an electric razor similar to the Braun. Overall, I felt that this was a good razor with a lot of versatility, though I did not use all the attachments. I only used the trimmer with and without the 1mm attachment, detail trimmer, and nose trimmer. I really liked the 1mm attachment. I felt like it gave a nice even cut. The attachment is easy to snap on and off, so there is little hassle in using it. It made it easy to get a consistent level shave all around and only took a minute or two to shave. I also felt the nose trimmer worked well. It was easy to use and did a good job and did not cause any discomfort as I had originally imagined it would. A slight tickle was really the only sensation it caused. For the trimmer itself, I can say I was satisfied, but not thrilled with the results. Many times the trimmer would catch on the my beard and cause a sharp pain. Though, this only happened when using the trimmer with no other attachment, I never had this issue when using the 1mm attachment. I also didn't feel like the trimmer did a great job at removing the hair. If I wanted to be clean shaven, I would still have had to use a bladed razor, as the trimmer could only reduce the hair to a stubble look. I have never used an electric razor like this, so I am not sure if this is normal, but it was a bit frustrating. The detail trimmer was slightly useful, though I don't really shape my beard. I did use it to shave some areas that the standard trimmer wasn't able to cut and I found the detail trimmer did a much better job at reducing the stubble. I could see how the detail trimmer could be very useful to someone who is interested in shaping their beard and needs more control than the standard trimmer gives. The battery on the razor was great. I think I only had to charge it when I got it initially and haven't charged it in the past 6 weeks. The trimmer is also very easy to clean. There is a brush provided that allows you to clean the attachments and razor and it can also be run under water for easy washing. Overall, I like the razor. I think that it is very easy to use and clean and takes a lot of the hassle out of shaving, especially if you currently use bladed razors. The only reason I am giving the razor 4/5 stars is because the shave with the standard trimmer just is not clean enough and if someone was required to be clean shaven this razor would not suffice. However, for my use I am very satisfied as this razor has made shaving much less of a hassle for me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
