One of the Best!

I am always impressed with Braun when it comes to trimmers. This trimmer is no different. It trims very well with no pulled hairs and a perfect cut every time. It trims well in detailed areas such as along the jawline and has a battery that charges fast and holds that charge for many uses in between charges if need be. If anyone is looking for a new trimmer, definitely give this trimmer a look. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Barber Quality

This trimmer is in the same class as the trimmer my barber uses. I am able to quickly and easily get my facial hair trimmed to perfection. No tugs on hair. Easily gets around my jaw line (if you have a strong jaw line you know what I mean). My jawline has always been the hardest part of my face to trim. This works great. Fantastic for a short beard

When I first used the Braun beard trimmer BT3020, I made the mistake of going to too low of a number. I have used this for 5 weeks now. Perfect length for me is 8.5. My facial hair grows slowly so I only need to trim once a week but the 8.5 all over keeps me looking great. The battery last a long time, it's still running on the original 10 hour charge! I have no doubt this will last me for years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Quality Beard Trimmer *UPDATE*

I am updating my previous rating to account for the length of time the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 stays charged and how quickly it charges. This is a great trimmer and I love how many length options there are. Easy and comfortable to hold. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A might fine and precise beard trimmer.

After a few weeks of use, I've really come to like this Braun beard trimmer . It's a small size, with many different lengths, easy to use and easy to clean by just running it under water.I really like that there are 20 different options for length and it's just a click wheel for a quick easy change. I may not use them all but I do appreciate that if I needed something so precise, that it's already available. It is cordless, I would never buy one that isn't, but seems like advancements in batteries haven't occurred as I think 10 hours for a full charge is a really long time, but at least that charge can last a few week depending on how frequently you use the trimmer. I only use it 2-3 times a week. Big on/off button and the charging indicator light is bright and easily visible. The Braun BT3020 is a no frills, gets the job done quickly, precisely and easily type of beard trimmer and that's all I ask for! A nice product that does it's job

This trimmer isn't exactly a multitasker but what it DOES do , it does well. It's a compact and lightweight device with an adjustible guard or the ability to remove the guard entirely and shave your face clean. You may need to clean up around the edges with a safety razor if you want a super close shave, but for the most part this does the job. I can see this product fitting well in the 20-30 dollar range of trimmers . It fits well in your hand and is comfortable to hold as well. Overall I'm giving this 4 stars becuase it doesn't claim to do everything nor does it, but it does work very adequately as a beard trimmer. A bonus feature is that it's waterproof so you can rinse it and not have to worry about damage! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Innovative design, but low in power.

I received the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 in the mail and couldn’t wait to try it. The packaging for the trimmer looked sleek and modern—definitely not overly done like some products out there. The packaging contained the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020, a beard trimming comb, a cleaning brush, and a charger. (Unfortunately no nose hair trimmer, which I typically look as an included feature for when purchasing a beard trimmer)Upon examining the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020, I liked the look of the trimmer and it is ergonomically designed and fits the hand very comfortably. The aspect that truly sets the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 apart from other razors is the Precision Dial, which lets you adjust the shave length by twenty .5 mm settings between 1mm and 10mm. I really thought that this feature was ingenious. It allows you to gradually adjust the length of the trimming comb so that you get the exact look that you want. Rarely have I seen new innovations in trimmers, and this was definitely a pleasant surprise. I plugged the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 in to charge overnight The first time that I used the trimmer the experience wasn’t great. I guess that I pushed the trimmer too hard against my face, and the trimming comb dropped from the setting that I had the Precision Dial set to, to the lowest setting. When this happened it carved a good sized chunk out of my beard, so I was forced to shave my entire face to that length. I payed around with the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 after the shave and found that this occurred repeatedly. If I applied pressure with my hand to the trimmer comb it would drop down to the lowest setting, the drop wasn’t gradual (which would drop the trimmer comb down by degrees), it always shot down to the lowest setting. I gave my beard about a week to grow back in before using the product again. This time I was much more careful with how hard I pushed the trimmer against my face. I did not have the problem with the trimmer dropping in setting again, but I did notice that the trimmer would still be cutting hair after multiple strokes over the same area, which made me concerned about how even it was actually cutting my beard. I feel that this is a problem with the overall power of the trimmer, and something that would not be experienced with a product at a higher price point. Another issue I noticed was that while the packaging promised 40 minutes of precision trimming, the trimmer seemed to suffer from a severe power drop after about 90 seconds of use. I could definitely hear and feel the drop in power of the trimmer after this amount of time. While the trimmer power never reduced any further, it definitely took longer to trim my beard than I have previously been accustomed to. I have now used the trimmer for about a month. I use it about once every 2–3 days. I—luckily—have not experienced the issue with the Precision Dial dropping to the lowest setting since Day 1, but I have been very careful with the pressure I use to put it against my face. Unfortunately, I have found that the drop in power and continuous cutting of hair (even after multiple strokes) is a regular occurrence for the trimmer. It happens every time I use it. Overall, I feel that the positive aspects of the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 are that it is very innovative, designed attractively, fits the hand ergonomically, and is not overly complicated. The Precision Dial is its best feature, and I think a great advancement for beard trimmers. The negative aspects of the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 are that the Precision Dial has the ability to drop settings during use and it’s reduction in power and overall low power issues. I decided to give the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 two stars, but I would give it 2.5 if I could. I do like the Precision Dial, but the power issues are something that can’t be overcome without an upgrade to the motor. To improve the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020, Braun might consider adding a button that locks the Precision Dial and prevents the dial from dropping in setting during use and upping the overall power of the trimmer. I feel that the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3020 is a great intro product for those looking for an economical beard trimming option, but will ultimately not satisfy the desires of experienced everyday beard wearers like myself. A good product with some tradeoffs

So I've been using this trimmer for a few weeks now and overall I'm pretty happy with it. It does a pretty good job at trimming my beard and edging around it. I like that I can just take the guard off and the setting wheel keeps my previous guard setting for when I pop it back on. One issue I've had with this wheel though is that occasionally I'll tap the trimmer to knock stuck hair out of it and it'll inadvertently click the wheel a few levels down , which is how I accidentally trimmed my beard to a level 2 the other day. Compared to my old trimmer , I enjoy that this is more of an all-in-one experience, though I do wish that this had some more options for trimming a bit closer to the skin for around beards, and possibly something for nose/ear hair. The battery life has been very good so far and with the frequency I trim my beard (once every few days) I've only had to charge it once so far. I'm using this as my everyday trimmer until it gives me a reason not to . Pros: Easy to use, quick to setup, does a good job, good battery life, small and portableCons: Only one trimmer setting when you remove the blade, no accessory trimmers, build quality feels a bit lower than I'd like, charging cord and packaging not very premium feeling, susceptible to bumping guard setting down [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Compact, lightweight, basic trimmer

This trimmer is smaller, lighter, and has less of the fluffy features of other trimmers. No vacuuming up trimmed hairs, no shaver on the other end of the trimmer, no stand, no complete waterproofing, no lasers... But, do you need all that? If you do, this isn't the trimmer for you. But if not, and you know you don't really need any of those things, then read on.Most trimmers these days have some "cutting edge" features that might seem helpful, but usually because of how much effort is put into the design and technology of these features, these trimmers fail to focus on the basics, trimming beards This trimmer doesn't make that mistake. This trimmer is pure, simple, lightweight, and inexpensive, and for all that is just a better all around trimmer than most others. Don't fault it because it's less flashy tor feature packed than others. Give it a try for its pure, spartan, simplicity. Your beard will thank you. Well-rounded, lightweight, beard trimmer

From my experience, beard trimmers are an exercise in compromise. There are three specific things I look for in a beard trimmer, usability, portability, and battery life. This trimmer delivers some of the best I've found in all 3 categories. This is an excellent beard trimmer for a close to medium hair lengths. It maneuvers well around my face and especially the sharper curves of my chin. It's small enough that I can get near my nose without using a separate trimmer. It is the most lightweight of the rechargeable beard trimmers I've used, but it's not the glorified nose hair trimmer like some of the very small trimmers. This makes it great for travel. Normally I think twice about dragging my larger trimmers along.Battery life is good. It seems to hold up as advertised, providing about 40 minutes on a charge. Unless you spend a lot of time shaving, it should get through a week or even two of usage without a recharge.I have 3 beard trimmers already. Each of which is, in its own way, either too heavy, too clunky, or has poor battery life. The only cons I've found are that the length settings are not terrible secure, so it would be possible to accidentally have the dial slip and trim closer than intended, and that the trimmer doesn't do a great job at longer trimming settings.
