I have been using Braun since I started shaving but over the last five years I can't refrain from experiencing a continuous deterioration in quality. The shave isn't very close anymore as it used to be and the replacement heads don't even make it to the recommended 18 month mark. They usually break around 10 to 12 months even when I spend the extra money to use the cleaning cartridges for my 350cc-4 and oil them from time to time. With the 32B heads the foil breaks in a couple places or the noise becomes so unbearable that the morning shave is a pain. My loyalty to Braun is entirely at risk based on this experience - if the quality doesn't get better soon the next disruptor to the market will take me over in a heartbeat.

We do want to share with you that a shaver foil & Cutter should typically last up to 18 months, however, this depends on your shaving method, beard type and how well and often you clean your shaver. To ensure the longevity of it, we recommend cleaning it regularly along with applying light machine oil to the blades from time to time. To prevent the blades from breaking, cracking, wearing down, etc. we suggest always using light pressure when shaving and holding the shaver at a 90 degree angle. Pressing too hard can shorten the lifetime and cause damage to the foil. I have my series 3 Braum for 6 years. I was always very happy with the 32B replacement. Until the last time, this one does not shave as close. I have to go over it multiple times. Even with using Elecricshave. The ones I was using over the years had the black center. The new ones which you bill as (new generation) has a white center and does not shave close at all. I was told by someone that when a company comes out with new improved or new generation it means they found a cheaper way to make it. I truly believe that this what happened to the 32B. After researching Braun shavers I find I am not the only one that has that problem. I am considering going back to my faithful hand razor or going to a different brand.

I've had a Series 3 shaver since 2011 with only one defective 32B replacement head since I've owned it. Other than that, they have worked great. The only thing I would recommend is to have those tiny shaver parts like the springs or the parts that actually move the shaver head blades to be better designed so that they don't fall off so easily. They should also be readily available since they're very easy to replace.

After just 2 months, one of the (two) plastic guide stalks on one of the floating cutting heads snapped off when trying to refit it back into the main foil (which is very fiddly to refit) and now it keeps dropping off when shaving. Not good.
Just gone through two of these in 6 months as they keep dropping in bits. Previous version was far better and it shaved me closer easily lasting the recommended 18 months with no problems whatsoever. Not what I expect from Braun, different shaver for me I think.
initially I was pleased with this replacement head which made it like I was shaving with a new razor again, then THE ENTIRE THING TOTALLY BROKE APART AFTER 9 WEEKS OF EVERY-OTHER-DAY USE. . Braun do you warranty these replacement heads?
This product is good quality. I like the shave it gives but I got disappointed when the blades got broken after 3 weeks and I could not find replacement parts anywhere. I try to buy them online, South Africa is nowhere to be selected! How can such expensive thing be single use and doesn't even last a year?
I have had my 390cc for four years and the 32S lasts about 6 to 9 months for me. I have really thick hair, so I'm OKAY with that. I absolutely love my razor since nothing else has ever worked for me.After shaving I will usually pull the cassette off and tap it on the sink to help remove the extra hair. I have never had a problem with the 32S. The hair comes out and then I put the whole thing on the base unit for regular cleaning.There is something VERY wrong with the quality of the 32B. Without even tapping hard, this replacement completely fell apart in my hands. It took about 15 min for me to figure out how to piece everything together again.. and made me late for an appointment. (Hint: You need to put the center piece in before the side pieces.. and be careful with little plastic parts on the side that slide).I'm returning the 32B to Amazon, but not sure what I'm going to do after that. I can't have a razor that's going to fall apart on me every time I use it.Jason
